French traditional holiday

French traditional holiday
On the 22nd of January we are going to celebrate a very nice French holiday - Galette des Rois There is a traditional story when the wise men visited baby Jesus. On that day a family has dinner all together to try a puff pastry tart Galette des Rois. It is not just a cake - there is a "charm" inside. The trinket is hidden in the cake, and the lucky person who finds it in their piece gets to be king or queen for the day and wear the golden crown that comes inside.

We are going to have eatable nuts inside Galette des Rois. Also we are going to make crowns, small Galette des Rois, play traditional French games and sing French songs!

If you want you can dress up your kid. There can be different costumes like kings, knights, princesses and fairies. It's ok if you don't have a costume - you can just dress your child up - our photographer will join us and take some pictures.
